Tyler Hoover brings senior power, patience, and a late-blooming bat to Canisius
In the 2025 season, Tyler Hoover hit .179 with a .429 on-base percentage across 28 plate appearances, and in the 2026 season he’s already impacted games with an RBI hit-by-pitch and a run scored, while also flashing occasional power with a solo home run in 2025. The big differentiator here is profile: a 6-6, 237-pound graduate student with left-handed pop, strike-zone discipline, and the kind of veteran, academically grounded presence coaches like in a utility infield bat. He’s not a headline-chaser, but he can be a useful roster fit if you want maturity, patience, and matchup-based offense.
