Sam Fairhurst’s breakout arm gives Lehigh a workhorse right-hander with strikeout upside
Fairhurst has shown real swing-and-miss ability, highlighted by a 2025 Landmark Conference Pitcher of the Week performance with 17 strikeouts in 8.1 innings, and he finished the 2025 season at Catholic with a 7-1 record, 3.42 ERA, and team-leading 73.2 innings before moving to Lehigh.[1][4] In 2026 at Lehigh, he has logged a 4.50 ERA with 54 strikeouts over 56.0 innings, suggesting a durable starter profile with enough bat-missing to matter.[3] He looks like a fit for teams valuing competitiveness, workload, and upside from a right-handed pitcher who has already proven he can handle real volume.[1][3][4]
