6-foot-10 Freshman RHP Steve Fountain brings rare pro-style frame to Michigan State
Steve Fountain is a 6-foot-10, 253-pound freshman right-hander for Michigan State from West Bloomfield, Michigan, and his biggest selling point is obvious: the kind of towering frame that can create tough angles, plane, and projectable velocity as he develops in the 2026 season. MSU’s roster lists him as a fresh arm with no public stat line yet, so the intrigue is all upside right now—ceiling, not box-score noise. If you want a developmental bullpen piece with power-pitcher traits and long-term stuff potential, Fountain is a name worth watching.
