Shawn Boyd brings freshman guard grit to Hanover
In the 2025-26 season, Shawn Boyd is a freshman guard at Hanover listed at 5-foot-10 and 170 pounds, with early-season usage that suggests a steady rotation piece rather than a high-volume scorer[1][2][3]. His current line is modest—about 1.0 rebound per game and limited scoring—but his profile points to a compact, physical guard who can fit a team that values toughness, ball pressure, and low-ego minutes[1][2][4]. A notable differentiator: he arrived with strong leadership credentials from Jeffersonville, where he won Indiana’s Trester Mental Attitude Award, a nice clue that the kid competes with maturity and poise[15].
