speed-first Hornets outfielder with live-bat upside and chaos factor
Aden Malpass entered Alabama State in 2026 after limited action at Missouri in 2025, but he’s already shown why coaches like his profile: left-handed bat, athletic outfield defense, and real speed. In the 2026 season, he logged a .091 batting average and a .491 on-base profile in Alabama State’s stats, while also handling center field cleanly with a 1.000 fielding percentage. He also impacted games on the bases and in late-game situations, which makes him a useful fit for teams that value pressure, versatility, and a spark plug more than just raw box-score pop.
