Wyatt Mummert brings left-handed depth and strike-throwing upside to Mercer
In the 2025 season, Wyatt Mummert made three appearances for Mercer, including one start, and worked 3.0 innings with two strikeouts; Mercer also identified him as a returning junior left-hander in its 2026 preview. He’s a 6-foot-1, 200-pound southpaw with a repeatable delivery and a history of filling the strike zone, traits that make him more than just a roster name. The fit question? If a staff wants a low-drama arm with some pitchability and developmental upside, Mummert is a smart depth add who could grow into more.
