George Lovelace is a 6-foot-3, 195-pound safety from Richmond and a redshirt freshman at James Madison, but he did not see game action in 2024 or 2025, so the on-field sample is basically a clean slate. His appeal is obvious: size, versatility from a high-school resume that included 24 tackles, 5.0 TFL, 8 pass breakups, and big-play ability as a receiver, which hints at real athletic juice. If a staff wants a developmental DB with upside and special-teams temperament, he’s a bet on traits, not production.
