Big, right-handed arm with starter upside at Marshall
In 2026, Luke Proehl is a 6'3", 215-pound junior right-hander at Marshall whose profile is built on size and projection, but his current results have been uneven, with a 13.50 ERA and 10 strikeouts. Earlier amateur reports show real arm talent and growth—Prep Baseball Report listed him at 89 mph with strong spin traits, and Perfect Game noted a +15 mph progression, suggesting there is upside if his command and consistency continue to sharpen. He looks like a fit for teams betting on physical tools and development rather than instant polish.
