Redshirt Sophomore LHP with Resilient Comeback Story and Lean Power Frame
Gunner Millsap, a 6'2" 195 lb. redshirt sophomore left-handed pitcher for UNC Asheville, did not play in the 2026 season but is defined by his intense resilience after undergoing a major left hip reconstruction in 2025, which he credits to Dr. [8]. Standing out with a lean, medium frame that generates surprising strength [4], Millsap differentiates himself through a high-intensity personality and a 'blessed and excited' mindset that fuels his comeback [8]. While his 2024 stats at SIUE showed an ERA of 36.00 in one relief appearance [2][3], his true value lies in his potential as a lefty with a 2022 draft class pedigree and a proven ability to overcome injury, making him a high-risk, high-reward fit for teams seeking a dedicated LHP with a strong work ethic and untapped physical upside [4][5].
