LaQuan Butler brings shot-making pop and steady backcourt experience to UTRGV
LaQuan Butler is a seasoned guard who has shown he can score in bursts and stretch the floor; in the 2020-21 season at UTRGV, he averaged 9.1 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 1.4 assists in 18 games, and his UTRGV bio notes a career-high 22 points plus a 10-assist game. He stands out for efficient offensive instincts, three-point confidence, and the kind of guard craft that can steady a rotation. The fit question is simple: if your team needs a mature, scoring-minded backcourt piece who can create pressure without needing the whole offense built around him, Butler’s your guy.
