Jesse Velders is a veteran table-setter with extra-base pop for USI
In the 2026 season, Jesse Velders has been a steady run producer for Southern Indiana, showing gap power with multiple doubles and key RBI moments while also drawing walks and scoring in clutch spots. He’s the kind of experienced outfielder who gives a lineup maturity, situational hitting, and a left-field/right-field presence you can trust in tight games. What stands out beyond the box score: he consistently shows up in high-leverage innings, plays with graduate-level poise, and looks like a reliable fit for teams wanting a polished, competitive bat.
