Landon Smelser brings left-handed pop, matchup fit, and clutch juice to Tennessee Tech
In the 2026 season, Landon Smelser has been a productive everyday bat for Tennessee Tech, hitting .291 with a .362 OBP, .461 SLG, 9 home runs, 32 RBI, and 3 stolen bases in 52 games. He stands out for left-on-left balance, opposite-field power, and a knack for delivering in big moments; Tennessee Tech highlighted a two-run, opposite-field double in a comeback win and a two-homer, five-RBI game as proof he can change a game fast. For a team needing a tough, energetic left-handed corner/outfield bat, he looks like a strong fit.
