Pierce Walsh brings Minnesota a rugged, run-first TE with upside after injury
In the 2025 season, Pierce Walsh played in all 13 games for Minnesota, catching 2 passes for 17 yards while mainly working as a blocker and special-teams piece; 247Sports noted he posted a team-best 78.5 PFF grade among Gophers tight ends in the spring preview. At 6-foot-4 and 250 pounds, his calling card is physicality, bulk, and reliability in the trenches, not flashy receiving volume. The wildcard is health: after missing 2024 with injury and entering 2026 with a wrist issue, he looks more like a tough-fit, development TE than an instant box-score stuffer.
