veteran guard with limited FSU impact but a proven prep scoring résumé
Watkins’ college impact at Florida State was modest, as he played in 22 games and averaged 1.3 points, 1.0 rebounds and 0.9 assists in his lone Seminoles season, but his high-school profile showed a more assertive lead-guard identity with 16.2 points and 5.8 assists as a senior. That contrast suggests a player who can handle the ball and create, but whose fit depends on whether a staff wants a low-usage organizer or a guard who needs the right role to translate his prep production.
