Tahlan Pettway is a shot-making freshman guard who already gives Western Carolina juice
In the 2025-26 season, Tahlan Pettway has emerged as a smooth perimeter scorer for Western Carolina, averaging 8.5 points, 2.3 assists and 2.2 rebounds while shooting 43.1% from the field and 39.4% from three in regular-season play. His calling card is compact, efficient offense: he can get hot from deep, has already delivered 20-plus-point outbursts, and brings enough playmaking to keep the ball moving. At 6-2 and 165 pounds, he’s a lean, energetic lead guard whose value goes beyond the box score when his confidence and tempo are rolling.
