Camden Thompson brings rare size and two-sport upside to Western Michigan
A 6-foot-5, 200-pound freshman WR from Whitehall, Michigan, Camden Thompson enters Western Michigan with intriguing length, a strong local pedigree, and proven playmaking instincts after starring as a dual-threat quarterback in high school. In his senior season at Whitehall, he threw for 1,363 yards and 15 touchdowns while adding 862 rushing yards and 15 scores, and as a junior he posted 706 receiving yards and nine touchdown catches. The big question is how quickly his raw athletic profile turns into route-running polish, but the ceiling is loud and the versatility is real.
