Parker Hutyra’s 2026 season was cut short after a promising opener
Texas Tech’s 6-foot-4 right-hander flashed real swing-and-miss stuff in the 2026 opener, striking out three over 1.2 innings, but his season ended after that with an arm-related injury. Before the shutdown, his profile looked like a power arm with starter-size frame and relief value, but the biggest question now is durability—not stuff. If you want a high-upside arm with size and occasional punchouts, he’s interesting; if you need immediate innings, the injury history makes him a wait-and-see fit.
