Radford RHP Dylan Howard brings strike-throwing upside and rotation stability
Howard profiles as a dependable right-hander with starter traits: in the 2024 season at Radford, he logged 14 starts, worked 69.2 innings, and ranked among the Big South’s top strikeout pitchers while keeping his walks relatively low, which points to usable command and a power arm foundation.[3][4] At 6-foot-2 and 210 pounds, he has the frame to handle a starter’s workload, and his selection by the Astros in the 2024 MLB Draft underscores that evaluators saw real pro upside.[2][3] He looks like a fit for teams wanting a durable, strike-throwing arm with room to keep developing.
