Jackson Bessette brings veteran power, pop, and a steady catcher’s presence to Purdue
In the 2025 season at UIC, Jackson Bessette hit .243 with a .403 on-base percentage, .485 slugging, and 9 home runs, then arrived at Purdue as a senior catcher with a proven track record of durable, everyday production and run creation. He started all 99 games he played over the 2024-25 stretch, and Purdue has already used him in key run-producing spots this season, including a three-RBI game and a clutch three-run homer in March 2026. If a team wants a physical, experienced backstop who can handle the staff and punish mistakes, he fits the brief nicely.
