Marquette's Dominant Big East Sixth Man Legend (2013-14)
Davante Gardner, the 6'8", 290lb Suffolk, VA beast for Marquette Golden Eagles, was a two-time Big East Sixth Man of the Year (2013, 2014), averaging 10.1 career points and 4.5 rebounds at 55.7% FG efficiency, with a monster 22-point, 15-rebound explosion vs. St. John's in 2012. His paint dominance (61.9% FG, 2nd in Big East that year), rebounding ferocity, and perfect 10-10 FT game vs. Xavier made him a matchup nightmare—relentless intensity and physicality that overwhelmed centers. Post-college scoring machine in Japan (3x B.League leader), he's the ultimate high-motor big ideal for teams needing blue-collar rebounding and scoring punch.
