North Dakota State gets a high-motor, multi-sport trench grinder in Zach Hellendrung
Zach Hellendrung is a physically mature 2026 defensive tackle from Boyceville, Wisconsin, who arrives at North Dakota State with proven production and a blue-collar profile: a four-year starter, two-time captain, and two-time conference Defensive Player of the Year who piled up 356 career tackles, 59 tackles for loss, and 20 sacks in high school. He also brings the kind of edge NDSU loves — wrestling toughness, leadership, and offensive versatility — making him a strong fit for a program built on physicality and effort.
