Billy White III brings two-way wing juice to SMU
Billy White III enters SMU as a 6-8 freshman forward with a strong reputation as a versatile, high-motor two-way piece: in his 2024-25 high school season, he averaged 18.8 points, 9.4 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.8 blocks and 1.0 steals, and he was named All-South Texas MVP and to the All-State Tournament Team. He was also ranked as high as No. 45 nationally and No. 3 in Texas, which matches the eye test on a long, active wing who impacts games beyond scoring. He looks like a fit for a program that wants length, rebound help, and switchable defense with some sneaky offensive upside.
