Mason Ravera is a fresh-armed Spartans righty with upside
Mason Ravera, a 6-foot, 175-pound freshman RHP from Granada HS, looks like a developmental add for San José State: long-levered, athletic, and still filling out, with enough present pitch traits to intrigue evaluators. Prep Baseball Report has him working in the low-to-mid 80s with a fastball that showed straight plane, a slider with down-and-away bite, and a deceptive changeup, which gives him a real starter’s mix if the command comes along. In short: he’s more projection than polish right now, but the arm speed and pitchability make him a fun one to watch.
