Sam Bettis brings a big-frame, power-righty profile to K-State
In the 2025 recruiting cycle, Kansas State’s Sam Bettis arrived as a classic projection arm: a 6-foot-6, 245-pound righty from Topeka with a power fastball that has been reported in the 91-93 mph range and as high as 94, plus a firm breaking ball that scouts have described as a true separator.[4][6][10] He was named to Perfect Game’s 2025 Tourney All-American First Team, and the appeal is clear: starter-sized build, arm strength, and upside that fits a development-heavy program. There aren’t college stats yet, but if you want a high-ceiling power pitcher with real room to grow, Bettis is absolutely worth the watch.[4][11]
