Davante Drinkard brings size, shot-blocking, and low-usage interior depth to Southern Illinois
Drinkard is a 6'9" center whose most obvious value is rim protection and steady frontcourt depth; Southern Illinois listed him as a shot-blocking presence, and historical team materials note he led the Salukis in blocks in a season where he made a career-high 19 starts and averaged 15.4 minutes.[8][7] RealGM’s current depth chart shows him on the Southern Illinois roster with recent defensive stats tracked, including 0.6 steals per game over the last five games, which suggests active hands and engagement in the rotation.[1] He looks like a fit for teams that want length, rebounding help, and a dependable energy big rather than a featured scorer.[1][8]
