Callum McGill is back on the mound and trending up after Tommy John
After missing 2025 with a preseason injury, the Morehead State right-hander returned in 2026 and showed real promise: in the 2026 season he went 3-1 with a 4.68 ERA over 42.2 innings, striking out 23 and holding hitters to a .264 average. He flashed genuine ace upside with a seven-inning shutout gem against Little Rock and a three-inning scoreless outing at Tennessee Tech, while the coaching staff said his velocity was coming back after Tommy John surgery. He’s a tough, innings-eating starter who looks like a fit for a team needing upside and resilience.
