Abigail Byrd brings size, upside and proven big-game pedigree to Northern Kentucky’s circle
Byrd is a 5-foot-10 freshman pitcher at Northern Kentucky who arrives with strong club résumé buzz, including co-MVP honors at Alliance Nationals and a P5 All-Tournament selection in 2024. Her profile points to a power-oriented arm with enough athletic upside to matter quickly at the Division I level, and the fact that she was highlighted by recruiting outlets suggests real prospect traction beyond raw stats. For a staff looking for a pitcher with ceiling, competitive edge and recent high-level tournament success, Byrd is a sensible fit.
