Addison Newkirk brings rookie-of-the-year impact and glass-eating toughness to W&L
In the 2025-26 season, first-year forward Addison Newkirk quickly became a difference-maker for Washington & Lee, earning ODAC Rookie of the Year after averaging 9.3 points and 7.2 rebounds while starting all 25 games he played. He gives a team size, rebounding juice, defensive activity, and some playmaking for a frontcourt piece, with 21 assists, 31 steals, and 11 blocks on the year. He’s a high-motor, winning-program forward who already proved he can tilt games on the glass and in hustle stats, which makes him a strong fit for teams that value toughness over flash.
