Defensive Forward with Elite Shot-Blocking Intensity for North Alabama Lions
Isaac Chatman, a 6'6" forward for the North Alabama Lions, stands out not for his scoring average (5.9 PPG) but for his relentless defensive intensity and elite shot-blocking ability, having recorded 16 blocked shots in 23 games during the 2021-22 season despite being seventh on the team in usage. His differentiator is his 'big-game' mentality: he set a career-high 19 points in a single 2021 NCAA game and consistently starts with high energy, averaging 4.4 rebounds and shooting 47% from the floor. While his offensive stats are modest, his personality traits—fearless, physical, and team-first—make him a perfect fit for teams needing a defensive anchor who can disrupt opponents without needing the ball. His injury history is clean, and his intensity level is unmatched, making him a valuable asset for any roster prioritizing defense over flash.
