6-foot-5 freshman RHP Forest Zelmer brings upside to CSUN, but the track record is still a blank slate
Forest Zelmer enters Cal State Northridge as a 6-foot-5, right-handed freshman from Valley Christian Schools, but in the 2026 season he did not appear in any games, so the on-field sample is essentially zero.[1] The upside is easy to see: long frame, projectable build, and a strong local pedigree from a league-title program, which usually signals pitch-ability and competitive polish rather than raw flash.[1] If you need immediate innings, the resume is thin; if you’re betting on upside, development, and a pitcher who may grow into his body, he’s a worthwhile name to watch.[1]
