Walker Zapp is Air Force’s run-producing catcher with real pop
In the 2026 season, Walker Zapp has continued to profile as a middle-of-the-order bat for Air Force, opening with a .300 average, .914 OPS, 9 home runs and 64 RBI while also showing value behind the plate with 47 starts and 8 defensive assists/putouts logged in team stats.[8] He was a 2026 preseason all-conference pick after a 2025 breakout in which he hit .330 with 18 doubles, 5 triples, 7 homers and 43 RBI, and he even handled Mountain West pitching at a high level.[3][6] If you need a catcher who brings offensive juice, steady presence and proven production, Zapp is absolutely worth caring about.
