Every-day infielder with speed, polish, and freshman-year buzz
In the 2026 season, Uriepero became a rare freshman lock in the lineup for Youngstown State, starting all 54 games, splitting time mostly at shortstop and second base, and earning Horizon League All-Freshman honors. He hit .250 with 46 hits, 8 doubles, 19 walks, and 11 stolen bases, showing table-setter instincts, defensive versatility, and enough athletic juice to matter in tight games. He was also a preseason Horizon League Freshman of the Year pick, which says the industry saw real upside beyond the box score. Good fit? Absolutely if you want a scrappy, switchy-in-the-middle kind of infielder with upside and no fear.
