Evan Safreed is pushing for a starting spot on Elon’s offensive line
In the 2025 season, Evan Safreed entered Elon’s fall camp in a battle for the starting right tackle job, a strong sign he is close to real on-field value for the Phoenix. The 6-foot-4, 290-pound redshirt sophomore brings proven high-school leadership, having been a three-time team captain and first-team All-WCAC lineman at Bishop Ireton, and his size has developed steadily since arriving on campus. He has not logged official college stats yet, so the upside here is about projection, toughness, and roster fit more than box-score production.
