Ava Husak Gives Drake a Two-Way Spark as a First-Team All-MVC Freshman
Ava Husak already looks like a high-upside fit for Drake: the freshman pitcher/utility player earned First Team All-Missouri Valley Conference honors and logged 45 innings with a complete game and nine strikeouts, showing the kind of versatility coaches love. She arrived with a strong all-around prep résumé at North Polk and the ability to impact games beyond the circle, which makes her more than just a stat line. For a roster needing a reliable, adaptable competitor, Husak brings toughness, flexibility, and early conference-level production.
