Giancarlo Bastianoni brings efficient scoring punch and strong board work to UNH
In the 2024-25 season, Bastianoni was a productive frontcourt presence for New Hampshire, averaging 12.0 points and 7.7 rebounds in three starts while shooting 42.4% from the field and 45.5% from three on limited volume. His best calling cards are his rebounding, versatile scoring for a forward, and enough perimeter touch to stretch defenses, which makes him more than a traditional interior-only big. The tradeoff is that his turnover rate and free-throw shooting were shaky, so he fits best as a toughness-and-spacing option rather than a polished offensive centerpiece.
