Ole Miss Redshirt Freshman RHP with Low-90s Fastball, Biting Slider & Rapid Changeup Growth
Jake Reigert, Ole Miss’s 2026 redshirt freshman right-handed pitcher, delivered a standout 1-inning debut vs. Murray State (4/21, 2026), punching out 2 batters with a low-90s fastball (topping 92.7 MPH), a biting slider, and a rapidly improving changeup that gained major grip in just one pitch-design session. His 6-5, 235-lb frame offers room for strength development, and his intense, data-driven approach—evident in his quick changeup refinement—signals high ceiling and team-fit potential. While he gave up some contact in that debut, his pitch mix and intensity make him a compelling differentiator for any roster seeking a developing RHP with MLB-average hop and rapid skill acquisition.
