Elite Control Pitcher Fighting Through Tough 2026 Season
The 6'5" senior right-hander for Hawai'i has established himself as a precision pitcher with exceptional command. His 2025 season was stellar—2.60 ERA, 59 strikeouts, and a remarkable .120 opponent batting average that would've led the nation if he'd pitched enough innings. O'Brien's calling card is his ability to miss bats while limiting hard contact (allowed just two extra-base hits in 2025). Currently navigating a challenging 2026 campaign, he remains a high-ceiling prospect for teams valuing control, durability, and a projectable frame with room to add velocity.
