Liberty’s undersized bucket-getter with a giant scoring engine
Darius McGhee is the kind of guard who bends a defense with range, toughness, and nonstop shot-making; in the 2022-23 season, he averaged 22.8 points, 3.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 1.6 steals while finishing No. 5 on Liberty’s all-time scoring list with 1,843 career points. He’s a high-effort, high-usage creator who can carry an offense, hit tough threes, and bring real defensive disruption despite his 5-9 frame. If your team needs fearless shot creation and edge, he’s a fit; if you want size and low-variance offense, maybe not.
