Jayden Thomas brings proven receiving pedigree, but Virginia is still waiting for the breakout
Thomas is a 6-foot-2, 80-rated wideout with real ACC-level pedigree, but his first Virginia season was quiet: in 2025 he caught just 3 passes for 9 yards while adding 58 punt-return yards and 67 all-purpose yards, so his value right now is more about versatility and upside than box-score production.[4][12][13][15] His bigger differentiator is that he has already shown he can be a productive receiver at Notre Dame, including 25 catches for 361 yards and 3 TDs in 2022, and he still profiles as a physical, experienced target who can help on special teams and in a complementary WR role.[3][14]
