Fresno State's Explosive Fresno Native Freshman Sidelined by ACL Tear
DJ Stickman, a 6-2 freshman guard from Fresno, CA, electrified Fresno State with 14.4 PPG, 3.5 RPG, and 2.5 APG on 55.8% FG in the 2025 season before a torn ACL ended his year prematurely[3][4]. A high school MVP with top-three scoring records and track speed, his differentiator is aerial athleticism and local intensity that lit up the court—think highlight-reel dunks and fearless drives[1][6]. Injury history is a red flag, but his raw upside and hometown fire make him a high-risk, high-reward fit for teams needing dynamic scoring punch post-rehab.
