Demetrius Ballard is a length-and-upside edge for Buffalo with real backfield pop
In the 2025 season, Buffalo’s Demetrius Ballard turned into a useful rotational edge presence, posting 12 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks while appearing in 11 games. At 6-foot-6 and 256 pounds, his biggest differentiator is obvious: rare length and frame for a young defender, which gives him disruptive upside if his hand usage and processing keep catching up. He isn’t yet a headline-grabber, but he looks like a high-motor, developmental fit for a team that values size, pursuit and pass-rush growth.
