Drew Cormier brings proven production and a safety’s range to Western Illinois
Cormier arrives at Western Illinois with real 2025 game tape behind him: at Bucknell, the 6-foot-1, 200-pound DB played in 10 games and finished second on the team with 59 tackles, plus 3 tackles for loss, 5 pass breakups and a QB hurry. That profile screams active, assignment-sound defensive back with the toughness to trigger downhill and the length to disrupt throws. For a team looking for a physical, experienced back-end defender who can help in both coverage and run support, he looks like a strong fit rather than a developmental flyer.
