Brendan Opat brings a clean-sheet right arm and a fresh upside look to New Mexico State
Brendan Opat is a right-handed pitcher in the New Mexico State mix whose profile reads like a development bet with starter potential: the kind of arm teams like when they want upside, strike-throwing, and room to grow rather than a finished product. Publicly available, season-specific college stat detail is limited here, so the best read is his rostered status and recruiting pedigree, which suggest he has enough stuff to earn a real look. If your staff values projectable pitching with some runway, Opat is worth a closer look.
