Jaxon Byrd gives UC Riverside a two-way edge with pop, versatility, and reliable innings
In the 2026 season, Jaxon Byrd has been a genuine Swiss-army-knife piece for UC Riverside, impacting games as a left-handed pitcher and as a bat in the lineup; he’s hit .230 with 4 home runs and 11 RBI, while also logging meaningful mound work and earning wins in relief[12][13]. At 6'3” and 215 pounds, his left-on-left profile, power potential, and ability to cover multiple spots make him useful in a lot of roster constructions[4][12]. The more interesting part: he’s not just a stats sheet guy—he’s shown toughness and team value by taking on different roles, including starting and relieving in conference play[1][3].
