6'7" RHP Justin Gay brings pro-style size and swing-and-miss upside to Richmond
Gay profiles as a high-upside right-hander whose biggest differentiator is his power frame: at 6-foot-7 and 230 pounds, he brings legitimate velocity and mound presence that can disrupt hitters. Richmond lists him as a graduate-student RHP, while earlier college and summer-ball notes show he has handled relief work effectively, including a 7-1 season with a 2.98 ERA at Pasco-Hernando and scoreless outings in 7 of 10 appearances at FAU. He looks like a fit for teams wanting a big-bodied strike-thrower with innings-eating potential and late-inning ceiling.[2][3][6][8]
