DJ Nussbaum brings efficient frontcourt depth and veteran stability to Eastern Kentucky
In the 2024-25 season, DJ Nussbaum profiles as a low-usage, high-efficiency center who gives Eastern Kentucky size, toughness, and reliable finishing around the rim; ESPN listed him at 6'8", 235 pounds, and Fox Sports showed a 59.1% field-goal rate with 1.2 points per game. He is more of a situational impact big than a volume producer, but his defensive value is real, with block production and enough experience to understand positioning, physical play, and team defense. His earlier VMI career also showed he can contribute as a rebounder and interior scorer when healthy, though a chronic back issue previously cost him a season, which is the main durability question.
