UAB’s high-IQ senior outfield presence with leadership value beyond the box score
McKinley Hubbard is a 5-foot-11 senior outfielder for UAB who brings speed, versatility, and high-character leadership to the Blazers; in 2024 she appeared in 29 games, scored 10 runs, and added a stolen base despite just three at-bats, which hints at a role built around impact-running and energy rather than volume hitting. She also stood out off the field as a UAB Presidential Honor’s List and All-A Honor Roll student, and by 2026 she was named Miss UAB, underscoring the kind of composed, team-first presence that makes her an easy fit for a program valuing culture, intelligence, and intensity.
