Waden Charles is carving out a real role in UCF’s receiver rotation
In the 2025 season, Charles played in all 12 games and started six times, finishing with 26 catches for 290 yards, and he finished strong by topping 30 receiving yards in each of the final three games. At 6-foot-2 with good speed, acceleration, and reliable catch/traffic skills, he profiles as a vertical threat who can also make contested grabs and convert key downs. The fit question is simple: he looks like a useful, ascending WR2/WR3 type for an offense that values length, burst, and steady improvement.
