Versatile two-way Gopher with real arm value, but still searching for a breakout
Nathan O’Donnell is a fresh, athletic INF/RHP for Minnesota whose calling card is versatility: the Gophers recruited him as a two-way player with power potential at the plate and an 88-90 mph fastball with a good slider on the mound in his 2025 signing profile, and he’s already shown he can help in relief with a pair of 2026 win decisions for Minnesota. He also comes from a high-level Illinois program, which is a nice little “winner’s pedigree” bonus. The caution flag: his 2026 season stats were limited, and he later entered the transfer portal, so he’s more of a development bet than an established impact guy.
