Lefty Reliever with Gutsy Arm, but Results Still Catching Up
In the 2026 season, Carter Coffin has been a usable bullpen lefty for Tarleton State, but his stat line shows he’s been hit hard in key spots, including losses on April 22 and May 16. The draw here is the profile: a 6-foot-2, 170-pound southpaw who gives the Texans a matchup look and developmental upside, especially if you value arm-side angle and left-on-left flexibility. He looks like more of a fit for a staff needing projection and situational depth than an immediate impact ace.
